About FtSE

The Fostering through Social Enterprise consortium was set up in 2007 and represents the views, perspectives and experience of a number of charitable and not-for-profit fostering providers.

Together we cover the whole of the country, providing high quality foster care for over 2,000 children of all ages, numbers that are steadily growing.

Each of our member agencies has its own unique and distinctive approach to fostering.

All of us offer a variety of able, experienced and trained carers plus a wraparound service package tailored to the needs of each individual child or young person.

In the charitable and not-for-profit sector, all our resources remain within each provider to ensure a total focus on the needs of children and young people. This transparency and accountability is welcome in the current climate where local authorities need to know they are getting full value for their budget.

FtSE meets four times per year. The meeting dates for 2013 are as follows:
21 January 2013
22 April 2013
8 July 2013
4 November 2013
